I have too much 'STUFF'! Where do I start?
Step 01 - The first step is admitting you have a problem.
- Do you find you’ve got so much ‘stuff’ in your garage you can’t remember where you parked your car?
- Have you got cupboards in your house so full of gear you fear that if you open the door you’ll be buried in an avalanche?
- Do you have more kids bikes, cars and toys than you have kids … or deck space?
- Even though you long ago gave up the dream of being a Globetrotting Soul Surfer, why do you still have 3 surfboards propped against the wall in the rumpus room? Next to the skis … used once … 6 snow seasons ago.
If you answered yes to any of the above … then you do have a problem … with “STUFF”.
“STUFF” – also known as property; personal belongings; equipment; things; material of an unspecified kind; excess items that are cluttering up your life; things you want to keep, but have no cupboard space left to stash them in.
You’ve already tried adding shelves and basket systems to your existing cupboards and wardrobes, but be honest with yourself, that’s a temporary band-aid solution. It just seems to have made more clutter. You haven’t actually removed any mess from your home, you’ve just given the old clutter permission to stick around cluttering up new spaces.
It’s OK. You’re not alone. Most of us have experienced this. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery. Click here to read the second step of setting a plan that will actually liberate your home of 'STUFF'.
